Our Story
GD Construction was founded in 2005 in Orange, Texas, with the simple mission to build with uncompromising quality and integrity. What began as a small roofing company founded by Ruben Dorantes Sr. has now grown into a full-service residential and commercial construction company, now operated alongside his two sons, Ruben Jr. and Oscar. Together, they continue the family tradition of hard work and integrity, serving clients throughout Texas.

Ruben Dorantes Jr.
Chief Operating Officer
Ruben earned his degree in Construction Science with a minor in Business from Texas A&M University. Raised in the family construction business, he developed hands-on experience from an early age. As COO, he oversees GD Construction's daily operations, coordinating crews and subcontractors while ensuring every job meets the company's standards for quality, safety, and efficiency. Ruben is proud to carry on and grow the company's legacy.
Oscar Dorantes
Chief Executive Officer
Oscar holds a Civil Engineering degree with a minor in Business from Texas A&M University and, like his brother, was raised around job sites and project planning from an early age. As CEO, he leads GD Construction's overall direction, overseeing client relationships, project planning, and company development. Oscar is dedicated to continuing the company's vision and building on its strong foundation for the future.
